Angela Lanfranchi, MD, FACS, associate professor of surgery at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Jersey, authored an article for a bioethics journal this month in which she said that the authors of the Lancet "collaborative review" article had performed statistical "manipulations."  She found other problems with the Lancet article including the use of an inappropriate comparison group, an assumption of recall bias, and selection bias.

Lanfranchi's article was published in the journal Ethics and Medics which is published by the National Catholic Bioethics Center on Health Care and the Life Sciences.  The article can be read on the link provided below.
