Dear Friends:

The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation continues to give funds to Planned Parenthood in various parts of the country, despite the fact that childbearing is known to reduce breast cancer risk considerably and abortion raises breast cancer risk.

In this newsletter, you will be absolutely amazed to learn who or what is responsible for maturing the mother's breast tissue into cancer-resistant tissue during the last eight weeks of pregnancy.  We are fearfully and wonderfully made!  Read more about this story below.

Our ability to offer you up-to-date scientific information about the protective benefits of childbearing and the risk-increasing effects of abortion and hormonal contraceptives is entirely dependent upon you as our financial partner. Few organizations whose stated purpose is to create awareness about breast cancer tell women the inescapable truth that a full term pregnancy matures their breast tissue into cancer-resistant tissue. Only your continuing generosity will ensure that our efforts to protect the health of women will be successful.

Please send a tax-deductible, end-of-year gift to the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer,  P.O. Box 957133, Hoffman Estates, IL 60195.

ABORTION-BREAST CANCER NEWS HEADLINES

Komen Continues Donations to Planned Parenthood / Phoenix Diocese Protests Komen's Gifts to Abortion Provider

Last week, the Catholic Sun, the newspaper for the Diocese of Phoenix, published an editorial calling on Catholics to protest the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation's donations to Planned Parenthood.

The newspaper reported that Komen gave Planned Parenthood of Northern and Central Arizona $24,580 purportedly for "for breast health education and early cancer detection in Coconino, Gila, Maricopa and Yavapai Counties." [1]

Noting that scientific research has associated abortion with increased breast cancer risk, the author argued that Komen is, "shooting itself in the foot -- then trying to race with only one good foot to raise additional funds to stop the bleeding. But the blood, both literally and figuratively, won't stop until the grants to Planned Parenthood end."

At least two other Komen chapters gave hard-earned donor funds to Planned Parenthood this year.  Its Greater New York City Affiliate gave $75,000 to Planned Parenthood of Nassau County, Inc. [2]  During the summer, an Iowa group reported that Komen gave funds to Planned Parenthood by funneling the money through the Louisa County Health Department. [3]

Planned Parenthood's records show that, despite Komen's gifts, abortions have increased, while breast services have decreased. Most women who frequent Planned Parenthood do not need mammograms because they are far too young to develop breast cancer.

Komen's gifts to Planned Parenthood provide an excellent way for the cancer fundraising business to perpetuate the breast cancer epidemic.  Scientists agree that the best way to prevent breast cancer is to have more children, starting at a younger age, and to breastfeed them.  Planned Parenthood is in the business of denying women their children by selling abortions and cancer-causing hormonal contraceptives.

Childbearing reduces risk because, during the last eight weeks of a full-term pregnancy, breast tissue matures from cancer-vulnerable Type 1 and 2 lobules into cancer-resistant Type 3 and 4 lobules.  Remarkably, the fetus produces the pheromone, HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), and HCG is responsible for maturing the mother's breast tissue into cancer-resistant tissue.  HCG stimulates the mother's ovaries to make inhibin, a protein that suppresses tumors and causes breast cancers to regress. [4]

Clearly, there is an interdependent relationship between the mother and her unborn child.  She depends on her unborn child to protect her health as much as the unborn child depends upon her for his health.  Pregnant women are being conned when they're told the lie that the fetus is nothing more than a useless blob of tissue.

Extra funding for Planned Parenthood means that the abortion provider can readily move more funds to the abortion side of its business and do more abortions.

After performing an abortion, Planned Parenthood's personnel "pour gasoline on the fire" by selling the hapless woman cancer-causing hormonal contraceptives. More abortions and hormonal contraceptives mean that more women develop breast cancer and become cancer walkers later in life.

Komen ensures that women will not escape this vicious circle because its officials deny the distressing truth that abortion is related to an increased breast cancer risk.  It's a win-win situation for Komen and Planned Parenthood, but women are the losers.
