Dear Friends:
How many women will die because they've not been told that the use of combined (estrogen plus progestin) oral contraceptives (OCs) is an accepted risk factor for cancers of the breast, liver and cervix?
Some doctors are still pushing these steroidal hormones. Left-wing "women's" groups, which aggressively marketed the drugs for pharmaceutical companies, have shown no interest in protecting women's lives.
Journalists have not informed women about the risk of using OCs in the same way that they warned women in 2002 that combined hormone replacement therapy (HRT) is an accepted risk factor for the disease.
OCs and HRT contain the same type of drugs. Perhaps the difference is that the use of the former is politically correct, but the latter carries no ideological baggage.
