Dear Friends:

This year's Respect Life Program for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops includes an article and pamphlet (in English and Spanish) entitled, "Abortion and Breast Cancer: The Link that Won't Go Away," by Angela Lanfranchi, MD, FACS.

Lanfranchi's article (links shown below) discusses how science has been hijacked by ideologues in the cancer-establishment that find the scientific evidence supporting an abortion-breast cancer link "inconvenient."  Ed Furton, editor of the journal, Ethics and Medics, calls such scientists "inquisitors" for the 21st century.

Why aren't the "ladies" at the National Organization for Women and the Feminist Majority screaming about this cancer cover-up?  Why aren't they asking these inquisitors some hard questions, such as:

1. "Why weren't women told about the existence of evidence supporting an independent abortion-breast cancer link five decades ago?"

2. "Why weren't women told about research showing that the unborn child produces the pheromones hCG and hPL that mature most of the mother's cancer-susceptible breast lobules into cancer-resistant lobules?"

3. "Why do you hate women?"

Perhaps these "women's" organizations are silent because they've elevated abortion to the level of a religious sacrament.  Have they chosen pregnant women to be their martyrs?

Lanfranchi's article and pamphlet have been distributed to every parish and its respect life coordinator across the country.

Under a column entitled, "Programs for Parishes/Dioceses," Dr. Lanfranchi encourages Catholics not to donate to cancer organizations that give funds to Planned Parenthood or support experiments on embryonic humans.  Instead, she asks Catholics to give money to either the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute or the Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer.

Why not send her article to doctors and journalists? Several news organizations are particularly in need of an education on the subject.  Such news organizations are adamant about running headlines that deny an abortion-breast cancer link, even though the loss of the protective effect of a full term pregnancy is a known risk of abortion.  In particular, we are thinking of journalists from CBS, the Associated Press and the New York Times.

Sincerely,
Karen Malec
