Dear Friends:
Now it's your turn to be an activist.
With
the publication of the latest study showing a statistically significant
66% increase in breast cancer risk for Turkish women who have
abortions, I strongly encourage you to take an active role in educating legislators
and journalists. Once again, here is our press release
which you can share with legislators and journalists.
WRITE YOUR LEGISLATORS
Contact your legislators and let them know
that abortion is not health care.
Abortion does nothing at all to improve the physical or emotional
health of women. On the contrary, considerable research dating from
1957 shows that abortion increases breast cancer risk. Even the authors
of the Turkish study admit that most studies on the subject show
abortion raises breast cancer risk.
Four
studies report that a premature birth before 32 weeks of pregnancy
increases breast cancer risk. As far as the mother is concerned, there
is no biological difference between having an abortion and having an
early premature birth. The hormonal changes to her breasts are the
same. Importantly, cancer fundraising groups have
NEVER bothered to explain why an early premature birth would raise
breast cancer risk, but abortion would not.
More
than 100 studies report a link between abortion and having a premature
birth later in life. The Institute of Medicine lists abortion as a risk
factor for having a subsequent premature birth. So abortion can cause a
premature birth and a premature birth before 32 weeks gestation
increases breast cancer risk for the mother and puts her child at risk
for cerebral palsy and other serious disorders.
CONTACT JOURNALISTS
Next,
most mainstream news organizations are over-zealous about reporting
studies that deny an abortion-breast cancer link, but they show no
interest whatsoever in reporting the far greater number of studies that
support that link. Challenge them to be the unbiased
truth-seekers they claim to be.
CHALLENGE CANCER FUNDRAISING GROUPS TO BE
HONEST
Less
than two years ago, insurance actuary and statistician Patrick Carroll
studied eight European countries and found that abortion is the "best
predictor" of future breast cancer trends. Amazingly, he proved that he
could successfully forecast future breast cancer rates for England and
Wales for the years 2003-2004 with nearly 100% accuracy by primarily
using abortion rates (and secondarily, fertility rates) in his
mathematical model.
Cancer
fundraising groups claim to be dedicated to "breast cancer awareness,"
but they have made no effort whatsoever to educate women about
Carroll's findings in 2007 and the 2009 Turkish study.
In fact, since the first abortion-breast cancer study was
published
fifty-two years ago, their consistent practice has been to keep women
in the dark, mislead them about researchers' findings and justify their
denials of a link by using (fraudulent) studies that have been sharply
criticized in medical journals for having serious flaws.
