Dear Friends:
The Hill, a reliable
source for news on Capitol Hill, has published a whip count of all legislators in the U.S. House
of Representatives that are undecided about
their positions on the healthcare reform bill, H.R. 3962.
Check to see if
your representative is on the list. (Be sure to scroll all the way down
the list past the advertisements to see all three groups listed - those
saying, "Yes" to the bill, those saying "No," and those saying
"Undecided.")
If your representative is on the list (no
matter what group he is in), now is the best time to call
and e-mail him
or
her
several times at both the local and Washington, D.C.
offices.
The House
healthcare reform bill, H.R. 3962 includes a mandate for government subsidized abortions through a public option and
by directing federal funds to private plans that cover abortion.
Remember that a
"Yes" vote on H.R. 3962 in its present form means more abortions, more breast cancer cases for mothers, more premature
births for babies, and more expenses for taxpayers and health insurance
policyholders. Tell your representative how you want him or her to vote.
