Dear Friends:
Let
me
be
perfectly clear. Government-funded
abortion
means
more abortions and more dead American women from breast
cancer!
Our
nation
is
debating whether government funding of abortion should be
included in healthcare reform. Senate
Majority
Leader
Harry Reid plans to file a motion in
the Senate to proceed to a vote this week.
Wednesday, November 18
between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. EDT is the time
for you to call, write and tweet your U.S. Senators! Tell
them
what
you think of their plans to take over one-sixth of the U.S.
economy. Tell your
Senators government-funded abortion means more dead American women from
breast cancer.
E-mail
your
Senators
these
links to Chinese and Turkish studies published this
year that show statistically significant increases in breast cancer
risk (17% and 66% respectively) for women who have abortions; and send
them a link to a compelling American study discussing the biological
reasons for an abortion-breast cancer link:

On November 7, Speaker
Nancy
Pelosi rushed her healthcare bill through the House of
Representatives. According to news reports, Democrats in the
Senate plan to follow President Bill Clinton's advice by ramming
through a bill that Americans do not support and have not read.
There
are
efforts
being
mounted to convince Senators to exclude language from
a Senate healthcare reform bill that would resemble the Stupak
Amendment passed in the House. The Stupak Amendment prohibits
government funding for abortion (and strengthens conscience rights for
healthcare workers).
HighNoonforHealthCare.org makes

Speaker
Nancy
Pelosi
and
her allies rammed a 2,000-page bill through the House,
although Americans have had little opportunity to read it. We must
demand a
truly transparent process that
will
lead
to solving the healthcare cost and access problems without
destroying the most effective and innovative
healthcare
system in
the
world.

Our healthcare system must be reformed, but we must proceed carefully
by ensuring that we keep what is good about our healthcare system, but
correct what is not beneficial for the common good. Increasing the
abortion rate through government-funded
abortion
will
only serve to hurt women by increasing the incidence of
breast cancer in the U.S.
Sincerely,
Karen Malec
