**Urgent Notice**
If you are a Nebraska resident, please be sure to read this message.
The Coalition on Abortion/Breast Cancer has joined an amicus brief in
defense of a Nebraska law that requires abortionists to inform pregnant
women about the risks of abortion. Of course, Planned Parenthood does
not want women to know that abortion is unsafe and lethal, so it has
filed a lawsuit against the state.
Other parties that have joined with the Coalition in filing the amicus
brief are Eagle Forum, Students for Life of America and Creighton
Students for Life. The Coalition is not a litigant in the case. It is
appearing as a friend of the court. It is saying to the court, "We have
valuable information to offer the court that may influence the court's
decision because our information shows how induced abortion will impact
the health of pregnant women."
Naturally, Planned Parenthood is now trying to prevent the court from
accepting the amicus brief.
Attorney Andrew Schlafly explained to us that:
"The hearing to decide whether Nebraska's informed consent will become
effective will be held on:
"Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at 2:30 p.m., CST, in Courtroom 2, Federal
Building, 111 South 18th Plaza, Omaha, Nebraska, before Judge Laurie
Smith Camp. THIS IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THIS MAY BE THE
BIGGEST HEARING OF THE YEAR ON THE ABORTION ISSUE: CAN PLANNED
PARENTHOOD BLOCK A LAW THAT HOLDS THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR FAILING TO
PROVIDE FULL INFORMATION TO WOMEN BEFORE THEY HAVE AN ABORTION?
"Planned Parenthood may tell its employees to show up in the
courtroom. Will they outnumber supporters of this good law that
protects victims of abortion?"
This matter is urgent. Please spread the word to family and friends.
