vigorously thanked the organization's leaders for the courageous
stand they took on cutting off Planned Parenthood's funding.
Please do so now and be sure to ask Komen to fully recognize the
abortion-breast cancer link and the pill-breast cancer link
without downplaying either risk.

We are providing a video showing
Nancy Goodman Brinker, founder of Susan G. Komen for the
Cure, defending Komen's decision to cut off Planned Parenthood's
funding during an interview with Andrea Mitchell on MSNBC. As
you can see, Planned Parenthood and its friends in Congress,
i.e. Patty Murray and Barbara Boxer, are representing the loss
of funding for Planned Parenthood as if it will do harm to
women's health.
This is a lie! First of all, Planned Parenthood does nothing
more than breast self exams, which women can do themselves at
home. Second, Planned Parenthood does not do mammograms. Third,
Planned Parenthood damages women's health by causing more breast
cancers among women who have abortions and use contraceptive
hormonal steroids. Fourth, it is better for women's health if
they don't have to visit a middleman (Planned Parenthood) first
before being directed to a provider of mammograms. It is an
unnecessary step that delays breast cancer diagnoses and
treatment.
Brinker did a good job of defending her organization against an
antagonistic interviewer who clearly belongs to the "safe
abortion" lobby.
